  • Analytical and critical thinking with strong attention to detail; ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and management of project designs, plans, and specifications.
  • Support development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to solve technical issues and ensure project success.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and provide project updates.

Job description

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you'll be an essential part of our engineering team, helping to shape the future of construction across the UK. You'll have the chance to work in a variety of teams, either on-site where the action happens or in a design-based role, depending on where your interests lie.

What will your day-to-day duties include?
  • Assisting in the preparation and management of project designs, plans, and specifications
  • Supporting the development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
  • Conducting site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to solve technical issues and ensure project success
  • Preparing technical reports, documentation, and providing project updates

  • Skill improvement: develop technical and professional skills.
  • Networking: build professional relationships and expand your network., We're looking for people due to graduate in 2027, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a degree (or working towards a degree) which is ICE accredited in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrates a genuine interest in pursuing a career in civil engineering and the construction industry, with clear motivation to learn and develop professionally.
  • Demonstrates analytical and critical thinking to assess situations and problem solve with strong attention to detail.
  • Shows enthusiasm for learning new skills and knowledge, and the ability to adapt in response to feedback.
  • Works effectively as part of a team, demonstrating collaboration, reliability, and respect for others.
  • Hold a full UK driver license.

Starting Salary: £31,000 per annum with potential £4,750 car allowance depending on eligibility and project

Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k

Starting date: September 2027
