Job summary

Arup in Cardiff offers an Industrial Placement Civil Engineer – Transport. You will work within the Civil Engineering team on roads, streets and multi-disciplinary infrastructure, supporting assessments, design and construction activities.

You'll learn through hands-on projects, collaborate with project teams, and develop technical and communication skills while contributing to sustainable, low-carbon solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil/Maritime/Structural/Architectural Engineering.
• Experience with 2D/3D design software (AutoCAD or similar).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessments, analysis and design from initial due diligence through to construction.
• Collaborate with wider project teams and Arup specialists through good communication.
• Contribute to sustainable, low-carbon design solutions across Civil Engineering projects.
