Job summary

Arup is offering a 10–12-month Industrial Placement Engineer position in Civil Engineering. You will work on real projects from day one, gaining hands-on experience across utilities, drainage, highways, and earthworks, while exploring challenges with curiosity and creativity.

Qualifications

Partly completed a Civil Engineering degree or relevant engineering degree.
Strong numerical skills and clear verbal and written communication.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with assessment, analysis, and design tasks for infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with Arup colleagues across disciplines and stakeholders.
Support production of design reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Participate in site visits, meetings with clients and authorities.
Develop and appraise engineering options and sustainability considerations.
