Job summary

Stantec in Exeter launches the 2027 Autumn Graduate Programme for a Graduate Civil Engineer. You join a civils team working on drainage, utility and road designs, liaising with clients and colleagues across disciplines to deliver projects.

You will gain experience across project stages through site visits, using design software and mentoring to support your progression toward IEng/CEng status, while contributing to sustainable infrastructure and environmental goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Interest in infrastructure sector and professional development.
• Ability to work in a team across disciplines.
• Proactive approach to learning and applying design software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with concept to detailed scheme designs.
• Prepare drawings, reports, specifications and notes.
• Contribute to drainage, utilities and road design calculations.
• Support on-site surveys and carbon emission calculations.
• Assist in value engineering within time and budget constraints.
