Amey is offering a Civil Engineer Graduate position in Crawley within our CAFA team. You will start on a £30,000 salary and participate in the two-year Graduate Pathway with mentoring, structured learning and development, and a guaranteed permanent role on completion.

Based in Crawley with flexibility to discuss hybrid working, you will contribute to inspecting and assessing railway structures, develop solutions, and prepare drawings and reports as part of a national team across the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) requirement.
• Applicants must pass a PTS Medical for this role.
• Proactive attitude towards learning and development, with progression towards professional status.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine the structural load carrying capacity of a variety of structures.
• Propose strengthening and maintenance options.
• Plan and undertake bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition.
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance inspection and technical capabilities.
• Prepare technical drawings and reports.
