Job summary

Kier Group invites graduates to join the Civil Engineering Graduate Scheme for the North. Based in Manchester and other northern locations, you will experience a two-year permanent programme leading to assistant level roles with salary potential around £38k. Starting salary is £31,000 with a possible £4,750 car allowance, and UK assessment days are planned for Jan–Feb 2027.

Responsibilities

• As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you'll be an essential part of our engineering team, helping to shape the future of construction across the UK. You'll have the chance to work in a variety of teams, on-site or in a design-based role, depending on interests.
• Assisting in the preparation and management of project designs, plans, and specifications.
• Supporting the development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
• Conducting site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Collaborating with project managers and engineers to solve technical issues and ensure project success.
• Preparing technical reports, documentation, and providing project updates.
