Job summary

Workman LLP’s Building Consultancy team offers a structured 24‑30 month or 5‑year pathway, including APC support to become a Chartered Building Surveyor. The programme blends hands‑on surveying with external events and professional development, with hybrid working and early client exposure.

You’ll join a diverse team across Property Management, ESG and Facilities Management, delivering inspections, schedules, specifications, and technical advice for commercial properties in a collaborative

Qualifications

• RICS‑accredited Building Surveying degree with a minimum 2:2 classification (or equivalent).
• Non‑cognate, non‑RICS accredited degree with a minimum 2:2 classification.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking building inspections and property surveys.
• Preparing schedules of condition, dilapidations, and defect reports.
• Assisting with contract administration and project management duties.
• Supporting refurbishment, repair, and maintenance projects.
• Preparing specifications, reports, and technical advice for clients.
• Ensuring compliance with building regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry standards.
• Assisting clients with planned maintenance strategies and asset improvement programmes.
• Working closely with colleagues and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
