Job summary

Workman LLP is seeking graduates for a Building Surveying pathway within its Building Consultancy team. The programme offers 24–30 month options and a 5‑year degree apprenticeship, with hands-on inspections, client exposure, and support towards APC and Chartered status.

You’ll gain experience across professional and project work, attend external events, and complete IOSH certification as part of a structured development plan. Hybrid working, with a strong progression track, awaits.

Qualifications

• RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree with a minimum 2:2 classification (or equivalent).
• Non-cognate, non-RICS accredited degree with a minimum 2:2 classification.
• 96 UCAS tariff points (or equivalent) and GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• An Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying or Construction Technical with a minimum DD profile (or equivalent qualification), plus GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Undertaking building inspections and property surveys.
• Preparing schedules of condition, dilapidations, and defect reports.
• Assisting with contract administration and project management duties.
• Supporting refurbishment, repair, and maintenance projects.
• Preparing specifications, reports, and technical advice for clients.
• Ensuring compliance with building regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry standards.
• Assisting clients with planned maintenance strategies and asset improvement programmes.
• Working closely with colleagues and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
