Job summary

JP Engineering is seeking a Graduate Engineer to support building services design across mechanical and electrical systems. The role offers exposure to a range of project types, close teamwork, and opportunities for development within a supportive engineering practice.

You will assess briefs, explore equipment options, perform design calculations, prepare drawings and specifications, and observe on-site testing and commissioning to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/Electrical Building Services engineer with honours degree or BTEC HND plus further studies.
• Experience with CAD and design calculation tools is preferred.
• Relevant work experience during degree or a year-long placement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess project briefs from client/partner.
• Investigate design solutions including equipment options.
• Carry out design calculations for proposed solutions.
• Prepare design drawings and specifications.
• Monitor contractor progress on site and witness testing and commissioning.
