Job summary

GRAHAM is seeking a motivated graduate to join our Building Division as an Assistant Site Engineer. This graduate programme focuses on developing your technical and interpersonal skills with mentored training and exposure to a variety of construction projects.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate an understanding of construction management practices.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Strong IT skills desirable.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous work experience specifically in Construction industry.
• An appreciation of Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
• Undertake Surveying and setting out duties.
• Check drawings and quantities.
• Assist in scheduling of materials.
• Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines.
• Liaise with consultants and sub-contractors as necessary.
• Ensure quality records are maintained.
• Resolve technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
• Arrange testing of materials.
• Undertake testing and calibration of instruments used.
• Interact with site team and other departments.
• Introduce improvements and innovations where appropriate.
• Other duties as required by the Site Manager.
