Job summary

The Cadillac Formula 1 Team invites applications for a Graduate Aero Mechanical Design Engineer to join at Silverstone. You will work with a skilled design team on the wind tunnel model, developing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and aiding testing facilities.

Applicants should have a relevant engineering degree, be near graduation or recently graduated, and have some CAD experience (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA). Strong communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Design/Motorsport or equivalent.
• Graduating within 12 months or recently completed.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (3DExperience/CATIA preferred).
• Knowledge of complex mechanical engineering and GD&T.
• Understanding of materials/manufacturing including composites.
• Ability to apply FEA for part validation.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality mechanical parts for the wind tunnel model.
• Work on design projects for mechanical systems used on the wind tunnel model, test facility, and aero instrumentation.
• Review designs and identify improvements for performance and reliability.
• Contribute new ideas in design methodology and processes.
• Investigate new technologies and materials for mechanical systems development.
