Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1 Team in the United Kingdom invites applications for a Graduate Aero Mechanical Design Engineer to support the wind tunnel model and testing facility, designing mechanical and electromechanical systems for the model.

You will work within a skilled design group, applying 3D CAD, GD&T and basic FEA to develop reliable components, learn from senior engineers, and contribute to innovative design solutions in a fast-paced motorsport environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Design tied to Motorsport or equivalent.
• Graduate or within 12 months of completing your degree.
• Some experience with 3D CAD tools, preferably CATIA.
• Knowledge of complex mechanical engineering is advantageous.
• Ability to apply structural analysis (FEA) to validate parts.
• Awareness of materials and manufacturing techniques including composites.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality designed mechanical parts for the wind tunnel model
• Work on design projects for mechanical systems used on the wind tunnel model, test facility and aero instrumentation
• Review designs and improve performance and reliability of engineering systems
• Work to complete mechanical design solutions as directed by senior team members
• Contribute new design methodology ideas and processes
• Investigate and research new technologies and materials for development
