Job summary

Red Bull Racing & Technology in the UK is seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer – Aerodynamics to contribute to the design of components for wind tunnel environments and learn from experienced engineers.

You'll produce 3D CAD models and drawings (Siemens NX), work with Aerodynamicists and Manufacturing, and support design validation from concept through to testing. A genuine passion for motorsport and high‑performance engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience with CAD through university projects, placements, Formula Student, or industry.
• Interest in manufacturing processes and materials.
• Familiarity with FEA and GD&T is advantageous.
• Proactive, organized and detail‑oriented problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of mechanical assemblies and components for aerodynamic testing environments.
• Produce 3D CAD models and drawings (Siemens NX).
• Collaborate with Aerodynamicists, Model Shop, and Manufacturing teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Assist with component development from concept through to manufacture and testing.
• Support engineering calculations, analysis activities, and design validation work.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the department.
