Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Graduate Academic Mentor for a secondary school in Walsall. You will provide 1:1 and general support across KS3 and KS4 to help students strengthen their understanding across the curriculum and stay engaged in lessons.

Qualifications

• 2:2 degree or above in any subject.
• Genuine interest in supporting secondary students across KS3/KS4.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain learning clearly.
• Patient, organised and encouraging approach to academic support.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and general classroom assistance across KS3/KS4.
• Help pupils understand lesson content and engage with the curriculum.
• Support teaching staff and help students stay focused and confident.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and monitor progress.
• Assist with organisation and behaviour management in lessons.
