Step Into Teaching Limited is seeking graduates to join Specialist Primary Schools in Salford as Graduate SEND Teaching Assistants/Academic Coaches. This full-time role during term-time focuses on supporting pupils with SEND through caring, empathetic, and structured instruction.

You will work under experienced teachers to promote emotional wellbeing, personalised learning, and resilience, with CPD and mentoring provided to help you progress toward teaching careers.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree (2:2 or above).
  • Show genuine care, patience and enthusiasm for supporting children.
  • Be confident, creative and proactive in engaging pupils.
  • Bring a calm, positive and empathetic approach to the classroom.
  • Commit to the role for the full academic year through July 2026.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support teams.
  • Communicate clearly and manage behaviour with consistency and compassion.

This will be full-timeGraduate SEND Teaching Assistant/ Academic Coach roleswithin a highly focused SEND environment, ideal for graduates considering a future career in education or specialist support.

Our school works with children with a wide range ofspecial educational needs and disabilities (SEND), includingcomplex needs, physical needs, severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD)and pupils with additional, overlapping needs that significantly impact their ability to access learning.

Children are supported through strong, trusting relationships that promote emotional safety, regulation and resilience. Learning is highly personalised and delivered through developmental stage and focuses on communication, independence, sensory development and behaviours for learning.

Role Details
  • Position:Graduate SEND Teaching Assistants/ Academic Coaches
  • Start Date:ASAP- End of July 2027
  • Hours:Full time, Monday to Friday
  • Pay:£500-530 per week (term-time)
  • Location:Salford
