Job summary

Step Into Teaching is partnering with a school in Barnet for a September 2026 start. The role runs for the full academic year on a term-time basis, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

The position offers full-time hours during term time, with responsibilities centered on providing structured 1-1 and group support to pupils. The ideal graduate will hold a degree (2:2 or above), be supportive and motivated to help learners reach their potential, and be able to commute to Barnet.

Qualifications

• Predicted/Hold a degree (2:2 or above).
• Be supportive, friendly, and approachable.
• Be resilient and motivated to support and inspire students to reach their full potential and strive to achieve excellence.
• Hold experience working with young people (preferable, but not essential).
• Able to reliably commute to Barnet.
• Have a creative and reflective mindset within the classroom.
• Be able to deliver well-structured support sessions confidently to individuals.
• Be able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Establish warm, caring relationships with pupils and provide 1-1 support to gain insights into day-to-day classroom environment.
• Help pupils develop personally while maintaining high behaviour expectations.
• Collaborate effectively within a multi-professional team to support learners.
