Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a GPU Infrastructure Support Engineer to act as frontline for a global GPU and AI infrastructure. You will triage tickets, platform alerts, and hardware faults across GPU nodes, networking, and Linux systems, owning incidents end to end with on-site data centre coordination.

The role features a 4-day week, remote flexibility, and a clear path into senior GPU engineering as you tackle 24/7 operations in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years in IT infrastructure support or data centre operations.
• Experience troubleshooting server hardware and Linux with strong CLI.
• Familiarity with out-of-band management (IPMI/Redfish/iLO/iDRAC) and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor dashboards and triage customer issues and platform alerts within SLA targets.
• Run first-line diagnostics on GPU nodes using nvidia-smi, DCGM and system logs.
• Use IPMI/Redfish for bare-metal management and power cycles; perform log extraction.
• Build complete RMA packages for failed GPUs, DIMMs, and storage drives with vendor coordination.
• Coordinate with data centre technicians for reseats, cable testing and DCIM/IPAM updates.
• Provide clear updates and escalations to Senior GPU Infrastructure Engineers.
