Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability and performance of large-scale GPU infrastructure. The role focuses on automation, observability, and self‑service tooling in a fully remote, UK‑based team.

You will design and maintain dashboards, implement runbook‑as‑code, and drive incident management with strong Python‑driven tooling. This is a remote opportunity open to candidates across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as an SRE or Production/Infrastructure Engineer with hands-on GPU infra responsibility.
• Strong Python for automation and tooling in live environments.
• Deep observability and dashboarding experience (Prometheus, Grafana) and alert design.
• Ownership mindset, calm under pressure, autonomous remote work.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability and performance of production GPU infrastructure and high‑performance networking.
• Design, build, and maintain observability, monitoring, and dashboards; improve signal quality.
• Build Python-based automation for incident triage and runbook execution; maintain runbook‑as‑code.
• Integrate observability, ITSM and infrastructure APIs to enrich alerts and automate workflows.
• Deliver internal tools and self‑service capabilities, including CLI utilities and dashboards.
• Turn post‑incident learnings into better tooling and auditable automation with approvals.
