Job summary

NHS Essex Integrated Care Board’s IT team is hiring a Digital Engagement Specialist to lead digital projects for GPIT across Essex. You’ll act as a subject matter expert in primary care digital tech and support digital governance and reporting.

The role involves deputising at forums, coordinating with procurement and delivering population health insights, with hybrid working and two office days.

Qualifications

• BSc degree or equivalent managerial experience.
• Evidence of sustained continuing professional development.
• Experience deputising for colleagues at meetings and forums across the ICB and primary care.
• Experience with Prince2 or Agile governance and handling complex change.
• Experience with digital procurement and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert in primary care digital technology, including online triage, the NHS app and clinical systems.
• Deliver the GPIT service to general practices across Essex, coordinating with IT support providers.
• Develop and deliver digital project plans with governance, risk management, escalation and reporting.
• Represent the ICB IT team at internal and external forums, deputising for colleagues at meetings.
• Prepare evidence for DSPT submissions and digital audits, supporting IT governance.
