Penrosehealth is seeking an NHS Medical Administrator to support six GP Practices across South East London. You will handle medical reports, referrals, lab results and clinical documentation, coding and summarising records in EMIS, and ensuring accurate patient information.

You’ll act as the link between General Practitioners and patient outcomes, contributing to high-quality care behind the scenes. Ideal candidates have a medical background and are detail-driven, organised, and proactive.

Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with NHS clinical admin workflows is a plus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information.

Responsabilités

• Support clinicians by reducing their administrative workload and enabling focus on patient care.
• Manage workflow queues, backlogs, and maintain safe turnaround times.
• Review and triage incoming clinical documents.
• Process and manage lab results and referrals.
• Scan, code, and file patient information into EMIS.
• Summarise new patient records and maintain accurate medical summaries.
• Liaise with clinicians to ensure timely follow-up on abnormal results.
• Route information to the appropriate clinician based on urgency and protocols.
• Assist with audits, reporting, and general administrative tasks.
• Strive toward team KPIs related to workload.
