Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to work at a GP practice in Bristol. The role suits a proactive HCA who can support the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

You will be part of an organized primary care environment, helping manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Perform observations: BP, pulse, temp and SpO2.
• Assist with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Perform ECGs and assist with routine patient assessments.
• Provide lifestyle advice and health-promotion support.
• Update patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assist clinicians with general tasks as required.
