Job summary

Millway Medical Practice in North London is seeking a meticulous Workflow Processor / Medical Coding Administrator to manage clinical correspondence. You will code using SNOMED CT, process documents via Docman/Better Letter, and keep patient records accurate and up to date within EMIS Web.

The role supports data quality, QOF and practice performance, requiring high attention to detail, efficient workflow management and strong collaboration with clinicians and admin colleagues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of clinical coding within General Practice.
• Working knowledge of EMIS Web.
• Good understanding of SNOMED CT clinical coding.
• Experience using Docman/Better Letter.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming clinical correspondence and code using SNOMED CT.
• Ensure records are accurately filed in the patient’s electronic record.
• Identify urgent information and escalate as needed.
• Apply appropriate SNOMED CT codes per Practice Coding Protocol.
• Maintain consistency of coding across records.
• Support data quality initiatives and QA reviews.
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses and admin teams to ensure clear communication.
