Creffield Medical Centre in Colchester is seeking a motivated clinical coder on a part-time basis (approximately 30-35 hours per week across a minimum of 4 days). The role involves reviewing correspondence, coding workflows, and maintaining patient records in the electronic medical record system.

The ideal candidate will have medical terminology and coding knowledge, be proficient in Excel/Word/Outlook, and demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills.

About the Role

Creffield Medical Centre in Colchester are looking to welcome a motivated clinical coder to their team on a part-time basis for approximately 30-35 hours per week, working across a minimum of 4 days.

Main duties will include:

• Review all incoming correspondence filing the document and entering pertinent information
• Carry out required actions via the patient’s electronical medical record in accordance with the coding workflow protocol - with attention to QOF and ECF
• Highlight clinician action and workflow to appropriate clinician or team as per workflow protocol
• Organise the medical record of the patient whom you are coding, to link problem titles.
• Recognise own knowledge limits and seek advice from clinical or administrative colleagues as appropriate
• Carry out administrative related tasks as delegated by clinical lead and practice manager.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as allocated by the practice manager or partners

Creffield Medical Group was formed in June 2017, it is an amalgamation of Creffield Medical Centre, Layer Road Surgery, Turner Road Surgery and North Hill Medical Group and we have 30,000 patients.
