Job summary

Locum Ready is looking for a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics throughout Southend. This role involves routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general support within GP clinic environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as Healthcare Assistant in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Able to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience is beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems.
• Provide general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
