Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics around Rye. You will perform routine clinical observations, assist with treatment room tasks, and support nursing teams in organised GP environments.

ECGs, health checks, phlebotomy where trained, and accurate record-keeping in clinical systems are part of the role. Enhanced DBS is required and shifts include weekdays, evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as Healthcare Assistant in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information in clinical systems.
