Civica UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Presales Manager to lead Presales as a strategic and commercial partner to Sales. You’ll head a high-performing function that strengthens qualification, improves solution quality and drives better commercial outcomes.

You will collaborate across Sales, Product and Delivery to shape winning strategies and ensure customer value is clearly articulated. A data-led approach and coaching skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership within Presales or similar software environment.
• Experience leading complex software and services solution selling.
• Strong commercial acumen with track record of improving win outcomes.
• Confidently challenge and influence senior stakeholders with evidence.
• Strong coaching skills to help technical specialists communicate business value.
• Data-led, proactive approach with strong communication and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Presales team.
• Partner with Sales to shape qualification, win strategy and solution positioning.
• Establish a scalable Presales operating model with clear priorities and metrics.
• Ensure high-quality discovery, demonstrations and solution design.
• Collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering and Delivery to influence priorities.
• Drive measurable impact across deal progression, conversion, revenue quality and margin.
