Job summary

The Kent Autistic Trust is seeking a Quality, Compliance & Governance Manager to work with the CEO, SMT and service leads. You will integrate governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement into senior-level decision-making and frontline practice.

You will drive strategic reporting, assurance processes and evidence-based improvement across autistic and learning disability services, while embracing innovation and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience within learning disability and autism services.
• Strong understanding of regulated health and social care environments.
• Experience coordinating complex workstreams and producing high-quality reports.
• Awareness of CQC requirements and safeguarding, health and safety, governance and evidence-based assurance.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities.
• Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities; confident presenting to senior leaders.
• Competence in Microsoft 365, data handling and digital systems.
• Ability to work independently and escalate issues when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the CEO and board with governance reports and action tracking.
• Coordinate assurance processes, compliance records and evidence.
• Monitor CQC, health and safety, contracts, safeguarding and Charity Commission requirements.
• Translate regulatory changes into practical processes and templates.
• Produce reports, dashboards, briefings and governance packs for decision-making.
• Build relationships with managers and spend time in services to stay connected to frontline practice.
• Support quality improvement projects, commissioner responses and tenders.
• Utilise Microsoft 365 and AI-enabled technologies to improve reporting and efficiency.
• Contribute to workshops, coaching and leadership development.
