Job summary

The Kent Autistic Trust seeks a Quality, Compliance & Governance Manager to work with the CEO, Senior Management Team and leaders to ensure robust governance and continuous improvement. You will transform evidence into actionable improvements across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience within learning disability and autism services.
• Strong understanding of regulated health and social care environments.
• Experience coordinating complex workstreams and producing high-quality reports.
• Awareness of CQC requirements and safeguarding, health and safety governance.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality reports, governance papers, and action tracking for the CEO and board.
• Coordinate assurance processes, compliance records, and evidence.
• Monitor CQC, safeguarding, and contract compliance developments.
• Translate new requirements into clear processes and guidance.
• Develop dashboards and governance packs to support decision-making.
• Work across services to connect governance with frontline practice.

We are looking for an exceptional Quality, Compliance & Governance Manager to work alongside our Chief Executive Officer, Senior Management Team and operational leaders, helping to ensure that strong governance, robust assurance and continuous improvement remain at the heart of our success.

Working closely with leaders across the Trust, you will bring together information, evidence and insight from across the organisation, transforming it into meaningful action that strengthens services, drives improvement and supports outstanding outcomes.

You will help us navigate an evolving regulatory landscape, support innovation and improvement initiatives, and ensure that our governance arrangements enable excellence rather than simply monitor it.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will:

• Support the CEO, Senior Management Team, Board and committees through the production of high-quality reports, governance papers, performance information and action tracking
• Coordinate organisational assurance processes, compliance records, action plans and supporting evidence
• Monitor developments relating to CQC regulation, health and safety, contract compliance, safeguarding, governance and Charity Commission requirements
• Translate changing requirements into clear processes, practical guidance, templates and effective evidence frameworks. Analyse information from multiple sources, identifying themes, trends, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Produce professional reports, dashboards, briefings, presentations and governance packs that support effective decision-making
• Build strong and positive working relationships with managers and teams across the Trust. Spend time within services to ensure governance activity remains connected to the realities of frontline practice
• Support organisational projects, quality improvement initiatives, commissioner responses, bids and tenders
• Utilise Microsoft 365, organisational systems and AI-enabled technologies to improve reporting, analysis and efficiency
• Contribute to workshops, coaching, training and leadership development activities as your expertise grows.

• Experience within learning disability and autism services
• A strong understanding of regulated health and social care environments
• Experience coordinating complex workstreams, managing information and producing high-quality reports
• Awareness of CQC requirements and the importance of safeguarding, health and safety, governance, contract compliance and evidence-based assurance
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities
• Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong written communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Confidence presenting information and reports to senior leaders committees or governance forums
• Competence in Microsoft 365, data handling and digital systems
• The ability to work independently, use sound judgement and recognise when issues require escalation
