Job summary

Cameo Consultancy in Brackley is seeking a practical and proactive Goods Stores Operative to join our busy team. You will manage stores, dispatch, and yard activities, ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast-paced production environment.

Role covers loading/unloading with a forklift, stock organisation, packing for dispatch, and coordinating courier collections. Immediate start offered with training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift.
• Picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Booking and coordinating courier collections.
• Measuring, weighing and labelling goods.
• Preparing and checking dispatch paperwork.
• Liaising with production to ensure goods are ready for collection.
• Stock organisation and pallet management.
• General housekeeping and maintaining a tidy, safe working environment.
• Supporting the production and dispatch teams as needed.

Job description

A busy, long-established and growing business in Brackley is looking for an experienced, hands-on Goods Stores Operative to join the team.

This is a varied role working across stores, dispatch and the yard, supporting the smooth running of a fast-paced production environment and taking ownership of the day-to-day organisation of goods coming in and out of the business.

You’ll be involved in loading and unloading vehicles, preparing goods for dispatch, coordinating courier collections, stock organisation, palletising goods and keeping the stores and yard areas running efficiently and safely.

The role would suit someone practical, organised and proactive who enjoys being busy, can prioritise their own workload and takes pride in doing a job properly.

What we're looking for:

• Previous stores, warehouse, goods-in/out or yard experience
• Forklift Truck experience (Counterbalance preferred - expired licences considered)
• Comfortable with manual handling and hands-on work
• Basic IT confidence and the ability to learn internal systems
• Reliable with a good work ethic
• Able to work well within a team and use initiative
• Good attention to detail and organisation
• Comfortable prioritising work in a busy environment
• Experience using warehouse or stock systems would be helpful, although full training will be given on internal systems and processes

The role includes:

Salary: up to £32,000 DOE

Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
