Workforce Staffing Ltd is seeking an experienced Goods Out & Trade Counter Supervisor in Bromsgrove to lead a busy Operations and Warehouse team. You will ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time, while supervising the Goods Out staff and managing resources.

The role requires strong organisational skills, solid warehouse experience, and a customer-focused approach. Occasional Saturday work and overtime may be required, with a salary up to £33,500 per year.

Responsabilidades

  • Ensure customer orders are processed and dispatched within deadlines.
  • Monitor order volumes to keep the Goods Out team on track for despatch targets.
  • Identify delays or bottlenecks and prevent missed deadlines.
  • Oversee order and kit allocation routines for efficiency.
  • Coordinate wave picking based on order type and priorities.
  • Monitor workloads and redistribute tasks for efficiency.
  • Investigate mispicked orders and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to picking and packing procedures.
  • Maintain flow of work for packers.
  • Process orders for courier or service correctly.
  • Manage day-to-day Goods Out operations and customer service at the trade counter.
  • Take customer orders and process payments.
  • Arrange picking and preparation of collection orders.
  • Act as first-line manager for Goods Out team; allocate work and resources.
  • Monitor performance and provide feedback.
  • Support training of Goods Out staff on SOPs.
  • Monitor stock levels of consumables and raise purchase requests.
  • Report IT, equipment and operational issues to the Operations Director.
  • Ensure safety compliance and a clean, safe Goods Out area.

Goods Out & Trade Counter Supervisor

Location: Bromsgrove
Salary: Up to £33,500
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30
Holiday: 28 days per annum, including public holidays
Additional Hours: Occasional Saturday working and overtime may be required

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Goods Out & Trade Counter Supervisor to join their busy Operations and Warehouse team.

The Goods Out Supervisor is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Goods Out department, ensuring customer orders are picked, checked, packed and dispatched accurately and within required deadlines. This role also involves supervising the Goods Out team, ensuring resources are deployed effectively, warehouse processes are adhered to, and customer orders are prioritised appropriately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure customer orders are processed and dispatched within required deadlines.
  • Monitor order volumes and progress throughout the day to keep the Goods Out team on track to meet despatch targets.
  • Identify potential delays or bottlenecks and take proactive measures to prevent missed despatch deadlines.
  • Ensure order and kit allocation routines are completed efficiently.
  • Coordinate wave picking based on order type, warehouse location, order priority, weight, courier requirements and picker capacity.
  • Monitor picker workloads and redistribute tasks to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve part-picked and mispicked orders, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to picking and packing procedures.
  • Maintain a continuous and appropriate flow of work for packers.
  • Ensure packed orders are processed correctly for the relevant courier or service.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the trade counter, serving customers professionally and efficiently.
  • Accurately take customer orders and process payments.
  • Arrange the picking and preparation of customer collection orders.
  • Act as the first-line manager for the Goods Out team, including Pickers and Packers.
  • Allocate work and manage staff resources to maximise productivity.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback as required.
  • Support the training and development of Goods Out employees, ensuring new staff receive appropriate induction and training in procedures and SOPs.
  • Monitor stock levels of consumables and stationery, raising purchase requests as needed.
  • Report IT, equipment and operational issues promptly to the Operations Director.
  • Ensure Goods Out staff work safely and comply with company health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain the Goods Out area in a clean, organised and safe condition.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics or Goods Out environment.
  • Experience supervising or leading a warehouse team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to take practical action.
