Job summary

Todd Hayes Ltd seeks a Goods Inwards and Inspection Assistant to join their team in Eye, Suffolk. This full-time, permanent role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00. You will handle goods inwards, inspections, stock movements, and ERP entries while maintaining safety and accuracy across the warehouse.

Role emphasizes forklift handling, precise checks against delivery notes and purchase orders, and collaboration with procurement and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in a Goods Inwards/Warehouse or Yard environment.
• GCSE level or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Computer proficient with MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel and TEAMS.
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work to Purchasing, Goods Inward and other company procedures.
• Off-load delivered goods using forklift or other manual handling equipment as necessary.
• Perform initial checks to ensure quantity, description and quality match delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Assist packing and shipping of parts for sub-contract operations with the operations team.
• Prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• Assist movements of stock around the yard and manufacturing buildings.
• Assist in inspecting goods delivered using drawings, purchase orders, specifications and documentation.
• Assist in rejecting non-conforming goods in the ERP system and ensure isolation and labeling.
• Transfer stock between locations in Epicor as required.
• Assist in perpetual inventory counts.
• Receipt deliveries into ERP in real time.
• Support control of consignment stocks/Vendor Managed inventory.
• Report health and safety concerns to Procurement Manager or Goods Inwards Controller.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Keep Goods Inwards areas tidy and safe at all times.
• Participate in business improvement projects as needed.
• Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested.
