Job summary

Dorchester Search & Selection is seeking a Goods Inwards & Despatch operative to join the team in the UK. You will load and unload, check goods, and distribute items to internal departments while operating forklifts and cranes in a busy environment. A clean UK driving licence and IT skills are essential.

Flexibility in hours is required with potential overtime. A noon shift pays £15.60 per hour plus a 20% shift allowance; the role supports accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Full clean UK driver’s license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Good IT skills including MS Word, Excel & Outlook and ERP systems.
• Good time management and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Polite, professional and a friendly team player.
• Hardworking and willing to take on extra tasks.
• Potential future security clearance arranged by the company.

Responsibilities

• Load / unload transport.
• Check and count inbound and outbound goods.
• Distribute goods to internal departments.
• Drive company vehicles and counterbalance forklift trucks 3.5T–9.0T, including roads.
• Operate heavy overhead cranes for items.
• Book external transport and maintain equipment.
• Manual handling of boxes and equipment.
• Enter data into company computer system and keep records organized.
