Job summary

Prestige Recruitment Specialists is seeking reliable Warehouse Operatives with a full UK driving licence to join our busy warehouse team in Goods In/Goods Out. This is a fast-paced role requiring accuracy and the use of handheld scanners and a WMS.

Standard hours up to 42.5 per week at £12.71 per hour; overtime £13.71 per hour. Some roles may require a Counterbalance forklift licence. Applicants should be able to stand and perform regular manual handling.

Warehouse Operatives - Goods In / Goods Out

Pay: £12.71 per hour | Overtime: £13.71 per hour
Up to 42.5 hours per week

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives with a full UK driving licence to join our busy warehouse team. This is a fast-paced role supporting Goods In, Goods Out and general warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders.

• Goods In and Goods Out activities.

• Using handheld scanners and the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

• Loading and unloading vehicles (selected roles only).

• Driving as required as part of the role.

• Using manual pump trucks safely.

• General warehouse housekeeping.

• Supporting other departments when required.

• Regular manual handling, lifting, carrying and stacking of products.

Some Warehouse Operative positions will involve approximately 20% Counterbalance Forklift Truck operation. A valid Counterbalance licence is required for these positions.

Candidate Requirements

• Full UK driving licence - essential.

• Previous warehouse experience.

• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Good attention to detail.

• Basic computer skills and numeracy.

• Good communication skills.

• Experience using handheld scanners or a WMS is desirable.

• Comfortable with regular manual handling, lifting, carrying and stacking.

• Committed to excellent housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.

Important Site Requirements

All workers must:

• Wear clean practical clothing, a hi-vis vest and mandatory safety footwear.

• Maintain high personal hygiene standards.

• Follow all workplace safety and conduct rules.

• Keep mobile phones in designated lockers during working hours and only use them during breaks.

• Complete the site induction and quiz before arriving on site.

Pay

Standard hours: Up to 42.5 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, or the prevailing statutory rate.

Overtime: Hours worked over 42.5 hours per week are paid at £13.71 per hour.
