Job summary

Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Goods In Warehouse Operative for a busy site near Diss. The role requires a valid Forklift Truck Licence and a stable, Monday-to-Friday schedule with no weekend work.

With 37.5 hours weekly, the package includes a pension contribution from 4% rising to 10%, life assurance at 3x salary, free on-site parking and generous holiday entitlement. Health support and discretions are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in Goods Inwards, Warehouse or Yard environments.
• Forklift Licence is essential.
• Attention to detail when checking deliveries and paperwork.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries safely using a forklift truck and manual handling equipment.
• Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Inspect incoming goods for quantity and quality.
• Assist with packing and shipping parts for subcontract operations.
• Organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure goods are received and processed efficiently.
• Follow Purchasing, Goods Inwards and company procedures.
