Job summary

Blue Diamond Garden Centres are seeking a Goods In Assistant at Cardiff Garden Centre. This full-time role (42.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday) involves receiving, checking and processing deliveries to ensure stock reaches the shop floor promptly.

You will support the Goods In Manager and warehouse teams in maintaining an organised goods-in area. The role suits someone who is organised, practical and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Organised and with excellent attention to detail.

• Can prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Experience in warehouse, goods in or retail stockroom preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and check deliveries against delivery documentation.
• Assist with processing stock, transfers and supplier returns.
• Ensure stock is accurately recorded within company systems.
• Report damaged or missing stock promptly.
• Keep goods-in area and yard clean, safe and organised.
• Support movement of stock from goods in to departments across the garden centre.
• Collaborate with department teams to ensure efficient deliveries.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling.

Location: Cardiff Garden Centre
Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday

The Role

As a Goods In Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are received, checked and processed efficiently, helping departments receive stock quickly so it reaches the shop floor without delay.

Working closely with the Goods In Manager and department teams, you'll help maintain an organised goods-in area while ensuring stock is handled accurately and safely.
