Job summary

Delta Hotels Worsley Park in Manchester is seeking a Sports & Golf Event Sales Executive with a passion for sales and strong customer relationships. You will manage enquiries for corporate golf days, golf breaks and sports team bookings across the Marriott hotels portfolio and convert enquiries into confirmed business.

In this role you will upsell and negotiate to maximise revenue, prepare proposals and contracts, and coordinate event orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, sales, events or a related field.
• A genuine passion for sales and achieving targets.
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to negotiate and upsell.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of golf and sports is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with Opera or another Sales & Catering system would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to sports and golf enquiries across the hotel portfolio.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, maximising revenue through upselling and negotiation.
• Build strong relationships with sports teams, clubs, event organisers, intermediaries and golf tour operators.
• Prepare proposals, contracts and event orders accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain accurate booking and customer information within the CRM system.
• Ensure bedroom, catering and other event requirements are clearly communicated to the relevant hotel teams.
• Work closely with Sales and Events teams to ensure a smooth handover and excellent customer experience.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling and additional services.
• Manage customer queries professionally and follow up after events where appropriate.
