Job summary

Turfgrass Agronomy & Services is seeking a Level 2 Golf Greenkeeper Apprentice to learn hands-on turf maintenance on a private 9-hole golf course in Potters Bar. You will work with experienced greenkeepers and a Course Manager to develop practical skills in mowing greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and course presentation.

The apprenticeship lasts 2 years, with a 45-hour summer week and 35 hours in winter. Applicants should have GCSE English and Maths and a willingness to learn, with a commitment

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths are desirable requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative in a hands-on apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Daily course setup to ensure the course is ready for play.
• Mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough with pedestrians and ride-on mowers.
• Strimming and edging around course features and bunkers.
• Raking and maintaining bunkers to high standards.
• Blowing and clearing debris to keep the course tidy and safe.
• General turf care and presentation tasks aligned with Level 2 standard.
