Job summary

Vale of Llangollen Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our course maintenance team. You will work toward national qualifications and gain practical experience while helping prepare and maintain the golf course for members and visitors.

Essential attributes include a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Desirable items include a UK driving licence and an interest in machinery and outdoor work.

Qualifications

• Essential: positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work outdoors in all weather, good communication and teamwork, interest in golf, sport, countryside or horticulture.
• Desirable: driving licence, interest in machinery and practical outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Mowing greens, tees, fairways and roughs
• Course set-up and presentation
• Raking and maintaining bunkers
• Machinery cleaning and maintenance
• Irrigation system operation
• Divot replacement and repair work
• Assisting with course improvement projects
• Supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives
• Ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times

Working alongside our experienced greenkeeping team, you will be involved in the daily preparation and maintenance of our golf course, ensuring the highest standards are delivered for our members and visitors.

• 1. Level 2 Sports Turf Operative Apprenticeship through the Horticulture & Landscaping (NVQ equivalent)

Working Hours
