Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking an Assistant Field Operations Supervisor for the Park & Recreation Department at Pecan Valley golf course. The role involves coordinating daily work, preparing the course for tournaments, and coordinating with pro shop staff on course conditions.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years in golf course maintenance or construction, and a Texas Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Three (3) years of responsible experience in golf course maintenance or construction.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.
• Possession of or the ability to obtain within 6 months a Texas Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicators License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily work assignments, various projects, and normal agronomical cultural practices.
• Daily preparation of the course for regular tournament play.
• Communication with pro shop staff regarding course conditions.
• Accurate record keeping of all chemical applications.

Education

Associate’s degree in Horticulture or turf-grass maintenance or higher
