Job summary

Lapland Manchester, based at Capesthorne Hall, is seeking a Golden Experience Host to greet premium guests, guide families through the magical experience, and be the friendly face and storyteller of the show.

Training runs Oct 2026–Nov 2026, live event dates Nov 7–Dec 24, 2026. Salary is £14.50 per hour with paid holiday, free hot meals, and shuttle bus. Applicants should bring warmth, calm under pressure and guest‑facing experience; minimum of 3 shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in premium or high-profile settings is preferred.
• Proactive, outgoing and able to engage guests.
• Willing to work across a live event schedule.
• Must follow grooming and costume standards as required.

About Lapland

Based on the original stories of Mike and Alison Battle ‘Lapland’, the show, is a ground-breaking immersive theatrical production that brings to life the mythical elven world of Father Christmas. Lapland celebrates the wonderment of childhood through our magical world, rich story telling & memory making experiences.

Role Overview:

As a Golden Experience Host,you’llbe the dedicated point of contact for our premium guests, guiding them through their time in Lapland with warmth,confidenceand care.

You’ll be their storyteller, organiser and friendly face, helping families move seamlessly through the experience while adding subtle moments of magic that will stay with them long after they leave.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You might come from a luxury hospitality background, be a seasoned event host, a performer, or simply someone who brings grace and joy to those around them.

• A confident, outgoing and proactive approach
• Genuine warmth and emotional intelligence
• Experience working in guest-facing roles, ideally in premium or high-profile settings
• The ability to remain calm and present under pressure
• A natural ability to create ease and delight for others

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE

• £14.50 per hour, plus holiday pay which is paid at the end of your contract

• Shuttlebus (from designated local station to event site)

PAID TRAINING: Your training plan will vary depending on your role. Training will take place on select dates between the end of October 2026 and the beginning of November 2026, training is mandatory.

Customer Facing Role Requirements Where the Worker is in costume, will be expected to:

• Remove all jewellery and piercings (no clear replacements) - this includes tooth gems/grills.
• Have neatly groomed, natural coloured hair, and as an elf, have all long hair in plaits.
• If worn, religious head coverings must be a neutral colour of brown, beige, or navy.
• Arrive on shift with none or natural make-up (foundation if worn must look like your natural skin tone); minimal mascara, no false eye lashes and no false or painted nails.
• No tattoos are permitted from the collar bone up for all customer facing roles. In addition, no tattoos are permitted below elbow for Food & Beverage, and 2 inches below elbow for all other customer facing roles on site
• Leave all watches, including smart watches and phones securely in your locker.

Please note we require a minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week
