Job summary

Referment is hiring a Product Engineer early in their career to build the Go services powering lenders with real-time credit analytics on AWS. You’ll join a small, collaborative engineering team and own features end to end from day one.

The role is Go-first, with mentoring from senior engineers and exposure to the wider stack as you grow. A product mindset and deliberate use of AI tooling will shape your work to deliver production-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Go should be either used commercially or you have built substantial Go projects and can discuss it fluently.
• Product instinct and focus on user impact for APIs or interfaces.
• Fluent, deliberate use of AI development tools in your workflow.
• Familiarity with AWS, containers and CI/CD: Fargate, Lambda, Aurora Postgres, DynamoDB, and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and ship features in Go API services with support and code review.
• Take ownership from design discussions through to production behaviour and customer outcome.
• Work with AWS infrastructure, containers and CI/CD pipelines, and learn to operate what you build.
• Contribute to code reviews, design discussions and technical decisions.
