Job summary
Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design and build Golang microservices powering financial products in a hybrid London-based setup.
You will collaborate with product, engineering and business teams to deliver scalable solutions, contribute to architecture, and champion engineering best practices. A strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement is expected.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial experience developing backend applications in Golang.
- Experience building and supporting microservices architectures.
- Experience deploying and operating applications in containerised environments, ideally Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience working within agile development environments.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across the application stack, including network, server and database layers.
- Experience building concurrent, distributed applications at scale.
- Experience working with DevOps or SRE teams to support production environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for learning, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality software.
