Job summary

Waracle is seeking a Senior Developer to join our world-class digital technology consultancy. You will shape robust, scalable backend systems while mentoring peers and balancing innovation with quality in a hybrid London-based role.

You will work with Go and microservices, champion secure coding, collaborate with client stakeholders, and help drive delivery from design through to production. This role rewards curiosity, teamwork, and thoughtful problem solving.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience with Go (Golang) and microservices
• Polyglot mindset with ability to work across tech stacks
• Cloud-native knowledge: Kubernetes and Helm
• Experience with Agile delivery lifecycles and CD pipelines
• Commitment to clean code, thorough testing and mentorship
• Bonus: Kubernetes deployments with Helm, Java development, SQL databases, monitoring tools like Splunk

Responsibilities

• Architectural delivery: design and build end-to-end backend subsystems with Go and microservices
• Champion quality and security through peer reviews and defensive measures
• Define testing strategies (unit, integration, service-level) and promote best practices
• Provide consulting and clear communication to clients and stakeholders
• Mentor and grow team capabilities through knowledge sharing
• Balance feature delivery with system health and long-term maintainability
