Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics in Harwell invites applications for a Warehouse Shift Specialist on a fixed-term contract to support GMP/GDP warehousing. You will manage inbound receipts, ensure accurate documentation, and perform cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity on a 24/7 manufacturing site.

You will work closely with Manufacturing and Quality, using SAP and Smartsheet to optimize material flow, deliveries, and traceability while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and safe working

Qualifications

• Educated to a high standard.
• Experience in GMP or GDP operations is required.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• 2+ years in Warehouse Operations.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (Pharmaceutical or related).
• Ability to lift and move products.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (SAP, Smartsheet, Word, Excel).
• Flexible when required; collaborative and customer-focused.
• Can-do attitude with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound deliveries and goods receipt: verify accuracy against purchase orders and ensure materials are available for manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation in QMS: upload, organise, and keep records complete and traceable.
• Support manufacturing through material picking and verification to meet production schedules.
• Ensure compliant material handling and labelling following internal procedures.
• Coordinate internal material deliveries to internal customers with efficient prioritisation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through SAP: daily goods movements and updates.
• Perform daily cycle counts and investigate discrepancies for stock integrity.
• Manage expired and segregated materials with proper controls in SAP.
• Support wider logistics: assist with shipments and other material movements as needed.
• Maintain training and procedural compliance; follow safety practices.
• Contribute to digital and operational improvements using SAP, Smartsheet, and emerging tech.
• Demonstrate ownership and collaboration with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality.
• Support 24/7 manufacturing operations with flexible shift coverage.
