Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics in Oxford is seeking a GMP Engineering Specialist (Fixed-Term) to own and support critical manufacturing equipment used in biopharma production. You will resolve complex issues on UF, chromatography, and single-use systems, driving improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare technical documentation, and support tech transfer activities to maintain continuous operations in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant Process Engineer experience.
• 2 years in a GxP environment preferred.
• Experience with bioprocess equipment (UF, chromatography, single-use components).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for GMP manufacturing equipment on the floor.
• Act as Engineering Owner for process equipment at Moderna facilities.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Lead small-to-medium technical projects balancing quality and timelines.
• Develop and maintain high-quality technical documents.
