Job summary

VRS UK is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations in a GxP-regulated cleanroom within a brand-new facility in the English countryside.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in cleanroom environments, and the ability to drive efficient production processes while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Rural site location necessitates access to transport.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a GxP-compliant manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in cleanroom operations.
• Degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• Confident managing change in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Excellent communication, team leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production team in a GxP-regulated cleanroom environment.
• Organise production space and workflow, ensuring manufacturing processes run efficiently and to schedule.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of production equipment.
• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained to the highest level.
• Enforce GxP standards across all production activities.
• Support documentation creation, review and implementation.
• Act as subject matter expert during audits, inspections, and internal quality investigations.
• Identify and raise deviations, lead root cause analysis, and implement CAPA actions.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, R&D and Commercial teams to ensure timely product release.
• Ensure adherence to HSE regulations and internal policies.
• Support safety audits, risk assessments, and reporting of incidents or near misses.
• Ensure compliance with procedures for the handling and disposal of regulated materials.
