Job summary

Scott Bader, a global manufacturer of advanced composites, invites a Technical Support Chemist to join our Tech Support team. You’ll blend hands-on lab work with technical advice across composites, adhesives and functional polymers to support customers and improve product performance.

Onsite with international travel (about one week per month), you’ll deliver development projects, evaluate product applications, provide troubleshooting and training, and collaborate with manufacturing and R&D to

Qualifications

Degree in Chemistry or related technical discipline.
Experience in a laboratory, testing or technical support environment.
Strong analytical skills with data interpretation.
Clear communicator providing technical advice to stakeholders.
Commercial awareness and understanding of technical impact on customers.

Responsibilities

Deliver short-term and customer-specific development projects within agreed timescales.
Evaluate product performance and applications across composites, adhesives, tooling and functional polymers.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting and application advice to customers and commercial teams.
Support product scale-up, trials and market readiness with manufacturing and R&D.
Maintain accurate technical records and represent Scott Bader at customer trials and industry events.
