Job summary

Tradewin is an international trade consulting firm providing guidance on regulatory affairs, logistics, and trade data management. The Customs and Trade Compliance Consultant advises clients on cross-border regulations, prepares trade documents, and minimizes duties and taxes while liaising with authorities.

The role includes monitoring regulatory changes, conducting compliance audits, and guiding clients through free trade agreements. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least two years' professional experience in a trade compliance position.
• Experience with international trade compliance matters.
• Understanding of EU and United Kingdom laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and related computer applications.
• Proven ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders to collect information and coordinate projects, ensuring customer needs are met proactively.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, solve problems, and support teams in meeting or exceeding customer deadlines.
• Track record of establishing, implementing, and maintaining standards, while continuously seeking improvement opportunities.
• Positive attitude and outstanding communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Scope of Position

As a Customs and Trade Compliance Consultant, you would be responsible for advising clients on regulations governing the cross-border movement of goods, ensuring adherence to international and domestic customs laws, and developing strategies to minimize duties and taxes. Your daily tasks would include preparing and reviewing trade documentation, conducting compliance audits, liaising with customs authorities.

• Understanding of European Union and United Kingdom laws and regulations,
• Proficiency in Excel and related computer applications,
• Proven ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders to collect information and coordinate projects, ensuring customer needs are met proactively,
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, solve problems, and support teams in meeting or exceeding customer deadlines,

Additional Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred,
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred,
• Experience with Customs processes and systems in the UK,
• Experience with MSS/CDS reporting,
• Understanding of Oracle ERP system would be a plus,
• Understanding of courier systems and customs allowances,
• Possession of a Customs Broker Licence or certificate from a recognised national authority or accredited local educator is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Travel may be required
