Job summary

SmartestEnergy UK is seeking an experienced Testing Team Lead to drive robust testing strategies across internal projects, ensuring high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.

You will lead a team of test analysts, oversee testing activities, coordinate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Project Managers, and ensure testing aligns with business requirements and milestones. This is a fixed-term contract until June 2027 with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a Test Lead role, with the ability to set technical standards and lead teams.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and experience designing SIT/UAT and non-functional test strategies.
• Experience managing onshore and offshore testing teams and coordinating third-party vendors.
• Hands-on experience across manual and automated testing, API testing and UAT.
• Experience with the listed tools in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of test analysts and oversee planning, execution, monitoring and control of testing activities.
• Produce and maintain test strategies, test plans and completion reports; manage risks and issues.
• Coordinate with third-party software suppliers and mentor team members for continuous improvement.
• Ensure resources, processes and documentation meet project requirements and delivery objectives.
