Job summary

Ips Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Terrorism Underwriter to spearhead the launch and build-out of a global Terrorism portfolio within a newly established Lloyd’s syndicate. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer, you will shape underwriting strategy, pricing framework standards, and drive broker distribution from the ground up.

Strong strategic and leadership capabilities in launching new portfolios.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Execution: Design, plan and execute a profitable global Terrorism and Political Violence underwriting strategy aligned with the syndicate’s risk appetite.
Underwriting Excellence: Underwrite a broad spectrum of risks including standalone Terrorism, Sabotage, Strikes, Riots, Civil Commotion (SRCC) and select Political Violence.
Performance Management: Monitor portfolio performance and underwriting metrics with the Deputy CUO to ensure long-term profitability.
Broker & Distribution Management: Develop and manage broker relationships to secure high-quality global flow.
Governance & Wording: Oversee the development of robust policy wordings, underwriting guidelines and peer-review processes to meet Lloyd’s standards.
